A two-day, in-person immersive experience offering participants an introduction to Tiffany & Co.'s craft, design, innovation, and legacy, and a unique opportunity to explore what it is like to work for one of America's most iconic luxury brands.
About the Program
The Jewelry Edit Foundation, in collaboration with Tiffany & Co., proudly presents From Bench to Blue Box- a dynamic two-day immersive experience that takes participants inside the world of one of America’s most iconic luxury brands.
Hosted across key Tiffany & Co. locations in New York City—including the Tiffany Design and Innovation Workshop and The Landmark, Fifth Avenue flagship—participants will follow the journey of a Tiffany & Co. piece from its first spark of inspiration to the moment it becomes part of the iconic Tiffany experience.
Through behind-the-scenes access, interactive sessions with Tiffany & Co. professionals, and dynamic creative exercises, participants will explore the worlds of design, craftsmanship, innovation, engineering, gemstones, merchandising, brand storytelling, marketing, retail, and client experience—while discovering the many careers and talented individuals who bring the journey from Bench to Blue Box to life.
The Experience
Over two immersive days, fifteen selected participants will take part in an immersive learning experience that combines education, mentorship, networking, and professional development.
Participants will:
- Explore the journey from concept to creation, discovering how a jewelry idea evolves from initial design through development and into a finished piece
- Discover exceptional craftsmanship, gaining insight into the technical skill, precision, and expertise behind fine jewelry
- Explore engineering, CAD, and innovation, and the role technology and creativity play in bringing designs to life
- Step into the world of gemstones and diamonds, exploring their importance in the creation of exceptional jewelry
- Discover product development, following the journey from design concept to finished creation
- Explore visual merchandising, and how the Tiffany & Co. world is brought to life through presentation and experience
- Learn how brand storytelling and marketing shape the Tiffany journey, connecting a piece of jewelry to an iconic global brand
- Explore retail and client experience, discovering how every element comes together at the final stage of the customer journey
- Engage directly with Tiffany & Co. professionals from across the business and gain insight into the diverse career paths within luxury and fine jewelry
- Take part in dynamic, hands-on creative exercises designed to challenge participants to apply their learning, think creatively, and bring their own ideas and perspectives to life
- Connect with fellow emerging talent through a collaborative learning experience and continued opportunities to build relationships within the jewelry industry
Who Should Apply?
From Bench to Blue Box is designed for jewelry talent with a strong foundation in jewelry design and/or making, and a curiosity about the many disciplines that shape the journey of a piece from concept to client.
We are looking for applicants who demonstrate a genuine passion for jewelry whether through creativity, technical ability or craftsmanship. While a strong interest in design and making is important, participants may also be curious about exploring other areas of the industry—from innovation and product development to gemstones, merchandising, brand storytelling, marketing, retail, and client experience.
This experience is ideal for those who are developing their careers and looking to deepen their understanding of the broader jewelry industry, gain exposure to new possibilities, and explore where their skills and ambitions could take them.
We welcome applicants who bring:
- Strong skills or demonstrated potential in jewelry design and/or making
- Creativity, technical ability, and an understanding of craftsmanship
- A thoughtful portfolio or body of work demonstrating their perspective and potential
