Tiffany & Co. x TJEF Pro Bono Legal Clinic, March 5, 2026

The Jewelry Edit Foundation hosted a Pro Bono Legal Clinic in collaboration with Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton, welcoming designers to the Tiffany offices for an evening focused on the intersection of jewelry design, strategy, and intellectual property. The event brought together a vibrant mix of jewelry designers and creative entrepreneurs, creating an opportunity to connect with the TJEF community.

The evening began with a presentation exploring how some of the world’s most recognizable houses protect their creative DNA, and what emerging designers can learn about safeguarding their designs. Led by John Maltbie, Director of Civil Enforcement, Intellectual Property at Louis Vuitton North America, the discussion offered a compelling look at where artistry meets strategy, emphasizing why protecting creative identity is just as important as creating it.

Following the presentation, designers had the opportunity to engage directly with legal professionals through both a group Q&A and one-on-one consultations tailored to their individual business needs.

The event provided a welcoming environment where a community of jewelry designers and creative thinkers gathered to learn, exchange ideas, foster mutual support, and strengthen confidence in protecting their creative identities.
