Studs x TJEF Pro Bono Legal Clinic, October 14, 2025
On October 14, The Jewelry Edit Foundation held its second Pro Bono Legal Clinic in collaboration with jewelry brand STUDS. Located within STUDS’ lively Rockefeller Center location, the clinic explored the intersection of jewelry design, business, and law for emerging designers.
STUDS’ Chief Legal Officer Shane St. Hill led a presentation on legal fundamentals for designers, expounding upon important lessons from the brand’s legal journey as it grew from a small business into a major jewelry player. Afterwards, four designers were awarded the opportunity to receive personalized legal guidance according to their business needs. Designers left with an impression of what to prioritize for their businesses, as well as a bolstered network comprised of other creatives in their field.
Ultimately, the event highlighted the value of pairing creative vision with legal awareness and community—and equipped designers with the tools to do exactly that.
